Lights at night,

how bright they shine,

old movies on television

and songs sung door to door.

Festive meals,

sledding down hills,

stockings hung

and presents wrapped

as the year draws to a close.

Children excited,

parents exhausted,

but it will be worth it

when smiles revealed

on that morning of

December 25th.
