Once there was a tree that sat upon a hill surrounded by fields, surrounded by trees. This tree was alone. A solitary tree. With each season this tree would wish for another tree to be next to. Each season the trees past the fields would mock him. He was just a sad, lonely, tree in the middle of fields surrounded by so many trees.
One year one day a tree began to grow. It grew beside him and it grew tall as the years passed. This other tree would not speak at first but, with time, it began to talk. The two trees would tell tall tales into the night. They would laugh so loud it would wake the trees further out.
These trees became as close as two trees could.
