Kissing the snake

I floated alone on the river alongside the banks were towns protruding from the trees like subtle reminders that I haven’t left it all behind.

I take out my snake while he whispers words to me. I feel the rush as he pulls me closer into his arms. My snake dances as his lips touch the head.

I feel electric as my snake slides into his hiding place. Our hips in rhythm as my snake is in him.

Time is frozen as we finish our dance. I’m drained as I fill him with all that I have.

I’m dreaming aside him as we rest for our next time to play with our snakes.

I’m dreaming of a river that could take me anyplace I want to go.
