Into the Unknown

I’m not shaking. I’m not scared. Things I tell myself as I squeeze through a space barely wide enough to not get stuck.

The only light is coming from either ends of a long passage.

I’m here in search of my friend. He was here in search of treasure.

It was easy to follow him because he left me a handwritten copy of the map in case I changed my mind about joining him.

I don’t know why I’m following him. I told him that it could be dangerous. I told him that there may not be a treasure to find.

He is my best friend. I have a crush on him. He doesn’t know, I don’t think. My feelings for him was what lead to him finding the map.

Before I tell you where and how the map was found maybe I should tell you how the two of us met…
