Camp Crush

The water is cold. I’m afraid of the deep section. I’m at camp. It’s Summer. I’m afraid of drowning. I’m afraid to jump into the water. I imagine sinking to the bottom.

An older boy holds me above the water. He’s attempting to teach me how to swim. I’m cold when we stand in the shallow water. He instructs me where to place my hands.

I want to place my hands on certain parts of him. I want him to place his hands on my parts. I have crushes on a few of the older boys at camp. I wonder if they suspect my feelings. Probably not.
