An elderly man sits at a counter of an aging diner sipping slowly from his black coffee and every so often a bite from a glazed donut.
He never looks up as the snow blankets the remnants of a once bustling town. The exhausted woman behind the counter hears the time in the ticking clock above her without glancing towards the hands moving slowly towards the end of another day, another shift.
Another day in the life of a place forgotten after the railroad stopped stopping at the depot and the interstate bypassed Main Street.
