Cost. Lost. Tossed like something forgotten.

Ignored. Left out. A stray running out of places to go.

Words told. They take hold like cement on the mind. Can’t rewind. Can’t erase. Must adjust like an old TV screen.

Mistreated. Abused. They were amused by the tears their words made appear.

These years wasted. Joy never tasted. Happiness a dream forsaken. Taken.
