Late night, music listening, a blistering Summer day, hours awake and still not done with life today.
Break down the minutes, memories arranged on my mind like a puzzle arranged out of time.
The rhythm carries me away, far off in my mind, rewind time like a song in reverse, I didn’t rehearse the first time around, now with the sound of music in my ears I fight back the tears of years of sorrow.
I’m passing through time like lime in your Punch, watching myself but a younger version.
Music leads me to the far reaches of my mind, my memory, to times I haven’t thought of in many years.
