DonateDonate monthlyDonate yearlyStorm Clouds. Gathering armies of thunderous applause. Rain falls. I stand on the wooden porch, a porch wrapped around a brick house. Distant yet approaching winds as trees bend to the oncoming invasion of storm clouds.
Warm to chilled air as change comes suddenly, the rhythm of rain on the metal roof as I sit in the living room watching through a picture window as the darkness of storm surrounds the house.
I changed the radio from country song to weather report. No tornado for now but a watch has been called. My heart pounding is silenced by the wind swirling around and against the small house.
Time slows as the storm appears to slow…
