Trestle train tracks over a shallow creek,
hide and seek along the tree-lined street,
feet pacing in the middle of an empty field,
healed my pain with more tears,
feared change as life went on,
flowing with the knowing,
I know how it went
life went and left me alone
with dreams unfulfilled.
Day begins again,
spin that wheel again,
floating above
and inside
lighter than memory
I am deep in thought
about some time I once lived life.
